Mortgage Underwriter Job Title: Mortgage Underwriter
Employment Type: Full-time (Contract)
Contract Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Dublin, CA - Hybrid Schedule
Alternating weekly: - Week 1: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
- Week 2: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote
Key Responsibilities: - Underwrite conventional home loans in alignment with Credit Union guidelines, investor requirements, and federal/state regulations
- Monitor and adapt to changes in underwriting standards, regulatory policies, and private mortgage insurance guidelines
- Conduct thorough audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of loan files
- Deliver exceptional service to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Respond promptly to inquiries and follow through to resolution
- Ensure underwriting timelines are met based on loan volume and organizational standards
Minimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience in the mortgage industry, including experience in underwriting conventional loans
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Familiarity with Desktop Underwriter and loan origination systems preferred
- Ability to pass a background check, which will include a Credit Check

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: Between $25-27per hour>
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
